David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A representative for the company commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an review of reports of questionable actions towards young women.
The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
